As the pandemic continues to impact the world and international exchanges and connections are disrupted, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts (KdMoFA) is launching the 2021 KdMoFA Residency Program Online Video Festival, in order to continue to interact with the international art communities. International artists who were a part of this program throughout the years are invited to partake in the event, with 11 video works by artists from 8 countries presented, seeking to keep international dialogues active through this alternative way of interacting.
The artists of the online screening demonstrate unique creative approaches, and they’ve previously explored and examined the overall environment and continue to do so under the current pandemic. Using gentle creative contexts, they call out to the viewers’ seemingly silent and easily overlooked consciousness, anticipating to evoke resonance and contemplation in the present unpredictable pandemic-stricken world.
