2013 Outstanding Art Prize of School of Fine Arts
2013.03.08~2013.05.05
09:00 - 17:00
The Outstanding Art Prize organized by the Taipei National University of the Arts was a way for the Ministry of Education to reward the academy’s Teaching Excellence Plan. Entering into its ninth session, this activity encourages students to participate in open and creative contests, promote healthy peer competition, and stimulate creative potential. The hope is to enhance students’ practical experience through the execution and production of the exhibition. This year the 2013 Outstanding Art Prize’s distinguished teacher and expert scholar judges used a preliminary review and a secondary review to select 5 winners from the creative art category (Zhang Zhe Xuan, Chen Cheng Tao, Pan Shi Hao, Zhang Man Jia, and Lin Guo Wei) and two people from the exhibition planning category (Linyi Wei/Wang Xuan). The Outstanding Art Prize winners’ works for this year revealed a very different look from previous years, and an active and distinctive self-expression of a new generation of artists can be seen. This exhibition hopes to use this creative platform to establish a benchmark for TNUA visual artistic creations. Outstanding Art Prize will continue to serve as an exchange and dialogue for a young generation of artists, and to develop Taiwan Art Academy’s recognition of contemporary visual arts and vision. The 2013 Outstanding Art Prize will be exhibited at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts from March 8th to May 5th, 2013. The exhibition will display selected works and jointly explore the development of contemporary art direction and issues. Future planning includes pushing towards international recognition using exhibition exchange between young artists, and step out to the international community from Asia.
