Looking back on the "Mao Xuhui: I'm Here" exhibition, as a leader in China's first Contemporary Art Movement and the '85 New Wave, artist Mao Xuhui's stories, his works, and even his life, can all be said to living records of contemporary art history. Feng Boyi, the curator also characterized Mao by dividing the exhibition into three sections with the themes of "Conditions of Life", "Interrelated Homeland", and "Prop Allegory". Using time as the basis of the script, the exhibition re-examines the artist's personal creations, as well as the relationship of his works with the occurrence of the '85 New Wave Movement in China.
