Roberti Marta was born in Brescia (Italy) in 1977, now lives and works in Rome. After graduated from the University of Verona in Philosophy, she studied New Technologies for Art at the Brera Fine Art Academy in Milan. The philosophy continues to intersect her work as a visual artist. She often uses drawing installation and hand drawing video animation which she uses to investigate issues concerning subjectivity in contemporary society, with special emphasis on the indefiniteness of human nature and its potential. Her hand drawing video animations have been shown in museums, galleries and video art festival in Italy and abroad. During the residency, she is investigating how to engage in an animal relationship with animals based on Deleuze’s theory of “Becoming Animal”.
