Seo Sang-Ho was born in Busan in 1968. He has had several solo exhibitions in various galleries and venues in Korean and Japan, such as the City Hall of Busan, You Art Gallery, NC Gallery, Art in Ori, Space Bandee, Sabae Contemporary Art Center, and Terahedron Gallery. Aside from solo exhibitions, his works of art has been shown in more than 150 joint exhibitions, including Busan Museum of Art, Daejeon Metropolitan Museum of Arts, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Gwangju Museum of Art, Korea International Art Fair, Busan Biennale, International TANNAM Art Festival, Japan, to new a few. Seo has endeavored to achieve communications between art and society and has played an active role in various art events and projects. In 2006, he took part in the Crystal Cave Project and participated in the Artist Forum International, an event organized by No Profit Space Association. In addition, he also acted as art director for the Outdoor Installation Art Festival in the Gaya International Festival of Culture. From 2007 to 2009, he engaged himself in directing the Inner.Granary.Barn Project. In 2010, he organized the East Asia Connect and he was the public art director for the Hill 1st Road Project from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, he also organized the Local to Local—Taipei in Busan. From 2006 onwards, he has exhibited his works successively in the Exhibitions Linked with Alternative Spaces, a joint exhibition of the Busan Biennale. He has devoted his time and effort to alternative spaces for more than ten years. He is currently directing the Openspace Bae International Artist-in-residence Programs. During his residency in Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, he also took part in The Standing Art: International Sculpture Exhibition organized by the Museum.
