Li Boyan (b.1984), an independent curator, was graduated from the department of tradition chinese painting at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. In 2012, he established the non-profit art organization regenerative space program. In 2017, he was a curator of public exhibition of the Sanxingdui Drama Festival. In 2018, he has curated the public space performance of the 2nd Shenzhen Contemporary Drama Biennale, and an experimental exhibition of the 7th Jinan International Photography Biennale. He has curated recent exhibitions projects include: Housing (501-XU Space, Chongqing, 2018), Serpent-shaped arm (CIPA Gallery, Beijing, 2018), Sunset has came (TAIKANG SPACE, Beijing, 2018), Poverty Theater: Rebuilding the era of consumerism (Baita Temple Hutong Art Museum, Beijing, 2018), Portrait of Tito (Mo Shang Experiment, Beijing, 2017), ISBN:9787214056061 (Vacuum Gallery , Beijing, 2016), Sangao (Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Art, Nanjing, 2015). Li Boyan will conduct a long-term observation, writing and curatorial work through the project “Mission of Asia”, and explore the logic behind the modernization of Asian civilization through an examination of the current state of art in various parts of Asia.
