Mitsunori Sakano was born in 1977, Ishikawa, Japan. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, University of East London in 2000. Since returning to Japan after his studies, he has been focusing on independent visual art projects. These are often based on researching and representing local traditions through visual mediums. This is often accomplished by interacting and collaborating with other artists, organizations or local communities. Having engaged in the Creative direction of various art projects , Mitsunori Sakano was also one of the founders of 3331 Arts Chiyoda. He will research Taiwanese - Japanese mixed cultures through filming the everyday life of people and places related to this topic.
