Workshop

Taro Hattori will introduce his art practice and perspective to the TNUA students on the workshop. By using bamboo as his material of work, he will lead them to look back the base of materials and guide the students to explore themselves with a principle of writing Q&A.

Artist Talk

Taro Hattori, a San Francisco- based artist, has been working at Kala Art Institute for years. His rich experiences of art practice and art background will bring the overall idea to the audiences. He will also talk about the experience of eastern culture on the ritual ceremony and how it made influence on his works.

Open Studio

Space, bamboo and collaboration are the main elements that Taro recently focused on. During the one month of staying, he will explore the relationship between space and installation to construct his installation project based the common material in south Asia ¡Vbamboo sticks. Two days of Open Studio will provide the audience a close up opportunity to exchange with the artist in person.
